Overview:

Spenny is a budgeting app made for students. It considers your loans, income, and bills to calculate the perfect budget to help you know what to spend on your weekly food shop and any other expenditures. Student poverty is often normalised, said to be “part of the uni experience”. Often, there is a normalisation of food insecurity and homelessness, with an example being the Student Money Survey published its results (2024), finding 67 per cent of respondents skip meals at least some of the time to save money.

In addition, some come to uni not knowing how to use their money in a way to benefits them, as many fall into debt.  Which is what we aim to combat.
